On December 30, A, who has accused actor Lee Yi-kyung of inappropriate and sexually suggestive remarks, posted a detailed statement on her social media account, explaining that her interaction with Lee Yi-kyung began through Instagram direct messages before moving to KakaoTalk. According to her account, the conversations gradually became sexual in nature.
She stated, “At the beginning, I did participate in some of the conversations. However, that does not mean I consented to all of the remarks that followed. Over time, the content and level of the messages became increasingly serious.”
A further claimed that in April of this year, she was subjected to comments that reminded her of sexual assault, prompting her to end all communication and come forward with her allegations. She emphasized that partial participation in earlier conversations should not be interpreted as full consent to later remarks.

Addressing allegations that she attempted to extort money from Lee Yi-kyung’s agency, A firmly denied the claim. “I organized materials containing problematic remarks and reported them to the agency. At no point did I threaten them or request financial compensation,” she stated. She added that if extortion had been her intention, she would have used media exposure as leverage, which she says she did not do.
A also claimed that after receiving contact from Lee Yi-kyung, she felt conflicted and even considered withdrawing her report to the agency and the media out of guilt.
In her post, she listed what she described as sexually harassing remarks and revealed that she has requested assistance from the Korean Embassy in Germany, stating, “This is not merely a private matter but one involving the responsibility and social influence of a public figure.” She further requested full cooperation should forensic investigations proceed.
Alongside her statement, A released screenshots of Lee Yi-kyung’s KakaoTalk profile and selfies allegedly sent to her during their conversations. She stressed that the images were “neither AI-generated nor manipulated.” The KakaoTalk profile reportedly displayed a status message reading, “I don’t use KakaoTalk. Please contact me by text,” with Lee Yi-kyung’s song “Fate,” released earlier this year with Monday Kiz, set as the background music.

Previously, A had already shared alleged chat logs containing profanity and sexual language, as well as exchanged photos, which sparked significant controversy online. At one point, she claimed the materials had been manipulated using AI and issued an apology, only to later reverse her statement and assert that the evidence was authentic.
In response, Lee Yi-kyung’s agency Sangyoung Entertainment announced that it is preparing legal action, stating it is pursuing strong measures against what it describes as the spread of false information and malicious rumors. The agency explained that after filing a complaint and completing the accuser’s statement process, the investigation is ongoing and may take time due to identity verification and procedural steps.
The agency added that it intends to pursue the case without leniency, emphasizing that such actions are punishable regardless of whether they occur domestically or internationally.
As of now, the case remains under investigation, with both sides maintaining sharply opposing claims.
