Running Man, the long-running variety show beloved by fans across Asia, was awarded the Most Popular Program Award at the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards held on December 30 at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Hosted by Jeon Hyun-moo, Cha Tae-hyun, and Lee Soo-ji, the ceremony recognized a year of standout entertainment content. The Most Popular Program Award was a highly competitive category, with nominees including Our Ballad, Seojin’s, Whenever We Can, Shooting Stars, My Little Old Boy, My Turn, Same Bed, Different Dreams 2, and Dolsing Four Men. In the end, Running Man emerged victorious.

Ji Suk-jin, the longest-running cast member alongside Yoo Jae-suk, accepted the award on behalf of the team. He thanked the production crew, saying, “The staff really worked hard this year.” He then humorously added, “I’m not sure why I’m so nervous right now. It’s not like anything major is happening, but maybe I was getting ahead of myself.” His comment brought laughs from the audience.

He continued with a light quip, “We’ve won so many awards tonight that I’m starting to wonder if we’re skipping the Grand Prize.” He closed by saying he would now relax and enjoy the rest of the show.

Song Ji-hyo also expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I hope the upcoming year brings only moments filled with laughter.”
