On December 22, the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho held a live broadcast and spoke about Park Na-rae. The channel stated, “It’s not true that Park Na-rae only mistreated her managers. She also gave performance bonuses and separately prepared money for them during the Chuseok holiday.”
They continued, “The managers themselves acknowledged this. She even gave Chanel bags and Chanel watches. Didn’t she treat them very well? Just this alone shows she’s an impressive person.”
Previously, in October last year, Park Na-rae uploaded several photos to her social media. Among the three images, one showed Park Na-rae and someone believed to be her former manager. In the photo, Park Na-rae is holding a wine glass, while the former manager is wearing a watch on her left wrist and looking directly at the camera as if showing it off.
According to Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho, the watch worn by the person next to Park Na-rae in the photo was a Chanel watch she gifted her. Regarding this, the channel explained, “The managers also acknowledged this part. However, the managers also did their best in return. They saved their small salaries to gift her Chanel shoes. They also pooled their monthly pay to send snack trucks and coffee trucks, and even gave Dom Pérignon wine as gifts.”
The channel further added, “They said wine glasses were often broken whenever ‘Narae Bar’ opened. One wine glass costs about 200,000 won, and they gifted around ten of them. Just looking at these details, there were clearly good memories between them. Both Park Na-rae and the managers did the best they could in their own ways.”
Meanwhile, Park Na-rae was sued by her former managers on December 3. The former managers filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court and announced plans to file a lawsuit seeking approximately 100 million won in damages, alleging workplace harassment, special injury, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid production expenses. This was followed by multiple controversies, including suspicions of operating a one-person agency without proper registration and allegations of illegal medical practices.
On December 8, Park Na-rae bowed her head in apology, stating, “As a comedian whose job is to bring laughter and joy, I felt I could no longer cause inconvenience to programs and colleagues, so I decided to suspend all broadcasting activities until everything is resolved cleanly. I once again deeply apologize to everyone who trusted and supported me.”
Later, on December 16, through the channel Baek Eun-young’s Golden Time, Park Na-rae said, “Many stories are being exchanged right now, but it is not what I want for someone else to be hurt or for this to turn into unnecessary controversy. That is why I plan to stop all activities for the time being and focus on organizing this matter. I will reflect on my responsibility and attitude in my position. Matters that require time will be calmly handled through proper procedures,” adding, “To avoid creating further controversy, I will not speak further on this issue after this video.”
