Actress Bea Hayden has revealed surprising details about her marriage to Hong Kong entertainment magnate Charles Heung’s son, Jacky Heung, shedding light on their long-distance and largely independent lifestyle.

In a recent interview with Sohu, Bea Hayden disclosed that she and her two children currently reside in Taipei, while her husband pursues his acting career in mainland China. Her in-laws, Charles Heung and his wife Tiffany Chen, also live separately in Hong Kong or the mainland. The family only gathers during holidays or summer vacations.

Despite the physical distance, Bea Hayden emphasized that her in-laws treat her generously. Tiffany Chen has helped fund her father’s medical treatment and gifted her real estate, jewelry, and covered all educational expenses for her two children. Bea is also caring for her ill father, who is battling lung cancer and heart failure.

Addressing the couple’s non-traditional living situation, Bea noted, “Modern couples don’t necessarily have to live together. I always expressed my desire to remain in Taiwan, and my husband’s family respected that.” However, she admitted that her husband rarely communicates with their children. “They love their dad dearly. I constantly remind him to stay in touch. I tell him, ‘If you make them sad, I’ll fly over and scold you!’” she shared lightheartedly.

Bea also refuted speculation that she was forced to have children, calling it a personal choice and denying any pressure from her husband’s family.

Once a beloved actress known for her role as Nan Xiang in Tiny Times, Bea Hayden was widely considered a screen goddess in China. However, her acting career came to a halt after marrying Jacky Heung, who has struggled to find success in showbiz despite strong family backing.

Jacky, often dubbed “the most talentless rich kid in the industry,” has drawn attention for his eccentric fashion sense and over-the-top behavior, including dressing in drag for livestream sales. During Bea’s second pregnancy, he was caught up in cheating rumors, later attempting to mend his image by taking his family on a publicized outing in Taiwan.

Bea Hayden’s revelations have sparked sympathy online, with many lamenting that the once-rising actress may have married into a life of emotional solitude. Despite living apart, the pressure from her husband’s powerful family reportedly prevents her from considering divorce.
