On December 9, actress Lee Min-jung‘s YouTube channel Lee Min-jung MJ uploaded a video titled A Trip Down Memory Lane with My Only Celebrity Friend from College, Hwang Je-sung Called Me Min-jung Noona… In the clip, Lee Min-jung visited a nostalgic snack shop with her college friend Hwang Je-sung, reminiscing about their days at Sungkyunkwan University.
Lee Min-jung showed a recent wrist injury and explained, “I fell while carrying my daughter Seo-yi. We were on a sloped hill, and she wanted to be carried. I lost my balance and fell, and in that 0.2 seconds, I thought about everything—how to prevent her head from getting hurt, how not to roll badly on the hill…”
Hwang Je-sung joked, “You thought all that while falling? You could’ve just stopped for coffee instead!” Lee Min-jung laughed and replied, “I’m not a superhero, but moms are kind of like them. I was determined to protect her head. Seo-yi weighs around 13kg, so all the impact went to my arms, elbows, and knees—I couldn’t even walk afterward.”
Lee Min-jung continued, describing the chaotic aftermath: “It was a scene. People came running, sending DMs asking if I was okay. One kind lady helped me sit on the street, but my knee was bleeding. I called my husband and told him, ‘Seo-yi and I fell, I can’t walk.’ He panicked and ran over in pajamas.”
She added, “Even the next day, I couldn’t walk much, and we considered going to the hospital. But now, I’m fine.”
Lee Min-jung married actor Lee Byung-hun in August 2013. The couple has two children: a son, Jun-hoo, and a daughter, Seo-yi.
