Actress Kim Hye Soo and Stray Kids member Felix kicked off the second part of the 2025 MAMA Awards, held on November 29 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.
Taking the stage as the night’s host, Kim Hye Soo appeared in a sleek black suit adorned with a mourning ribbon, delivering a poetic opening statement: “When music flows through us and our bodies and minds move as one with it, we encounter true ‘heung’. This joy isn’t just simple pleasure—it’s belief in oneself, the love for who you are, and the courage to boldly move forward. This energy makes us our truest selves.”
Felix joined her on stage shortly after, sharing, “I agree. I believe it blossoms from within us, and I believe it knows no limits.” Together, they proclaimed the awards show’s slogan and officially launched the night’s festivities.

Kim Hye Soo impressed attendees by greeting the audience in Korean, English, and Japanese. She also took a heartfelt moment to express condolences for the victims of the recent Hong Kong fire tragedy, saying, “To those who lost their loved ones, we offer our deepest sympathies. We earnestly pray that miracles remain for us all.”
The ceremony then transitioned into powerful performances, starting with a collaboration stage between dancer Kyoka, known from World of Street Woman Fighter, and ZB1’s Sung Hanbin. This was followed by an energetic performance by co-ed group AllDay Project, delivering a stage full of impact and charisma.
This year’s 2025 MAMA Awards embraced the theme “UH-HEUNG”, highlighting more than just joy and entertainment. The concept emphasized the importance of embracing one’s authentic self, transcending boundaries of region, race, and culture. It was a rallying cry for confidence, inclusion, and individuality.
