Taiwanese pop icon Show Luo is once again at the center of controversy. On November 22, Chinese media outlet Sohu reported allegations that the entertainer secretly fathered two children with his longtime assistant Xiao Xiang (real name Xu Qunxiang).
According to insider sources in the Taiwanese entertainment industry, Xiao Xiang—who has worked with Show Luo for over 28 years—reportedly developed a romantic relationship with him, resulting in the birth of a daughter and a son. Both parties have allegedly concealed the relationship, with Xiao Xiang claiming the pregnancies were the result of artificial insemination abroad. Meanwhile, Show Luo reportedly attempted to legitimize his connection by declaring the children as his adopted kids.

Despite having two children, Xiao Xiang is said to have never demanded marriage or a formal relationship. Instead, she preferred Show Luo remain involved in her and the children’s lives. This arrangement reportedly allowed the singer to continue dating other women, including internet celebrity Grace Chow, whose explosive 2020 revelations about his infidelity and hedonistic lifestyle led to his dramatic fall from grace.

Xiao Xiang, who is 42 and a year older than Show Luo, has long been regarded as his most loyal manager and behind-the-scenes force. Rumors of a secret relationship between them have circulated for years, fueled by matching outfits and identical social media photos. Xiao Xiang and the two children have reportedly accompanied Show Luo at major events and on family vacations.

Show Luo has denied the latest claims, lashing out at what he calls “baseless rumors” and demanding that the public stop speculating about his private life. He emphasized the emotional harm such gossip can cause to those involved.

The scandal brings renewed attention to Show Luo’s 2020 downfall, when Grace Chow accused him of serial cheating and organizing secret parties with multiple women. She revealed he had a second phone to hide his behavior and uncovered a long list of mistresses, including actresses and models.
The fallout was severe: Show Luo lost more than $14 million in endorsements and was dropped by networks and events. He was eventually blacklisted by China’s cultural regulators. Despite a public apology, he struggled to regain credibility.
In 2022, Show Luo made a controversial attempt at a comeback, dressing as BLACKPINK’s Lisa in a parody video—an act widely criticized as tone-deaf. Though he remains active on social media, he has yet to reclaim his previous standing in the entertainment industry.

This latest revelation—whether confirmed or not—further complicates his image and raises questions about accountability, power dynamics, and personal responsibility in Asia’s celebrity sphere.
