On November 19, DAWN posted a heartfelt message on his personal account, writing, “Today, the person I loved the most in the world — my grandfather — has left our family’s side.”
Reflecting on the poignant timing of his passing, he continued, “Strangely, he passed away on the same day as my grandmother’s memorial. It feels as if the two of them are reassuring me and my family. Although the time I spent with him before he left was short, it is more precious and meaningful to me than any other moment.”
DAWN then expressed concern for acquaintances who might feel obligated to attend despite the cold weather, saying, “I didn’t reach out individually because I was worried you might travel far in this weather. Please pray for my grandfather’s peaceful and new journey.”
Along with his message, DAWN shared a childhood photo taken with his grandfather. The picture shows the two sitting side by side in matching poses, evoking a wave of emotion among fans.
Born in 1994, DAWN debuted with PENTAGON in 2016 before departing the group in 2018. He later transitioned into a solo career and continues to actively release music.
