The Remarried Empress is based on the globally popular webtoon that has amassed over 2.7 billion cumulative views worldwide. The story follows Navier (played by Shin Min-ah), the Empress of the Eastern Empire, who agrees to divorce Emperor Sovieshu (played by Joo Ji-hoon) and boldly requests permission to remarry Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom.

The series depicts a grand-scale romance fantasy filled with palace intrigue, betrayal, and second chances at love. Actress Lee Se Young also stars as Rashta, a former slave who becomes Sovieshu’s concubine, igniting the central conflict of the story.

The project is helmed by director Jo Soo Won, known for I Can Hear Your Voice, Pinocchio, and Still 17. The script is written by Yeo Ji-na and Hyun Chung-yeol, who previously worked on The Uncanny Counter.
