The long-awaited battle in One Piece Chapter 1165 brings Gol D. Roger and Garp together in a legendary alliance against the fearsome Rocks D. Xebec.
Picking up from the cliffhanger at the end of the previous chapter, Garp asks Roger if he can hear Rocks’ voice similar to his own, before the two launch their first combined attack. Despite their powerful strikes, the initial assault fails to harm Rocks, showcasing the extreme resilience of the Rocks Pirates.
The clash culminates in a massive collision that splits the sky over God Valley, unleashing a wave of Supreme Conqueror’s Haki (Haoshoku Haki) of unprecedented intensity.
After the shockwave, both Roger and Garp rise, injured but ready for more. Garp exclaims: “Rocks… Roger… I planned to catch both of you here, but now…!!” Roger agrees to temporarily set aside his initial plans of stealing Shakky and the treasure, forming the legendary “reluctant alliance.”
While the main battle rages, the fate of other characters is revealed:

On the double-page climax, Roger unleashes a flurry of “Hinokagutsuchi no Ace” strikes, while Garp delivers continuous punches with his “Infinite Fist Explosion,” both enhanced with dense Haki, creating a fiery, unstoppable assault. Rocks is finally struck, collapsing as his malevolent aura erupts, signaling the fall of the Rocks Pirates.

The chapter ends with the remaining mountain at God Valley destroyed, Roger and Garp victorious yet exhausted, and the world forever changed by the legendary battle.
