taiga sasaki expelled from 9bic

J-Pop boy group 9bic has removed member Taiga Sasaki from the group after he was arrested for trespassing into a women-only area of a hotel public bath.

Taiga Sasaki joined 9bic in June 2024, as part of the group’s ongoing member rotations. 9bic, managed by WAIWAI inc, originally debuted in 2019 and has since seen several lineup changes.

According to reports, Sasaki entered the women-only section of a hotel bath and remained there for approximately ten minutes before hotel staff discovered the trespassing and contacted authorities. Police subsequently arrested him.

Following the incident, WAIWAI inc issued a statement: “Due to a confirmed serious compliance violation, Sasaki Taiga has been removed from the group and his contract with the agency has been terminated after careful consideration.”

The group’s official website has already been updated to reflect the current lineup, now featuring only four members.

The group’s scheduled performance on November 8th was cancelled due to the sudden lineup change, but their next performance on November 15th is confirmed to proceed as planned. Fans and the public have been reacting strongly to the news, given the severity of the incident and the idol’s short tenure in the group.

For updates on the group and official announcements, fans are advised to follow 9bic’s social media channels and official website.
