On November 6, the YouTube channel Study King Real Genius Hong Jin Kyung released an episode featuring Jun Ji Hyun as a special guest. During the lively conversation, she was asked who her closest celebrity friend was. With a bright smile, she replied, “(Choi) Hwa Jung.”
Hong Jin Kyung immediately chimed in, adding, “You’re sauna buddies!” — a nod to their well-known friendship.
Hong Jin Kyung also shared a personal anecdote: “We had a meal together, the three of us — me, Hwa Jung, and Ji Hyun — and what really stood out was how admirable Jun Ji Hyun’s self-discipline is. We talked for a long time after eating, and there was so much to learn from her.”
Interestingly, Jun Ji Hyun and Choi Hwa Jung are also neighbors. Both reside in a luxurious mixed-use residential complex located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Choi Hwa Jung’s 77-pyeong (approx. 2,730 sq ft) unit made headlines in July of last year when it sold for ₩11 billion (approx. $8 million USD).
