Ahn Eun Jin is returning to the small screen with a stunning transformation in SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Dynamite Kiss, premiering on November 12.

Written by Ha Yoon Ah and Tae Kyung Min and directed by Kim Jae Hyun and Kim Hyun Woo, the drama follows a whirlwind office romance between a single woman pretending to be a mother for survival and the team leader who falls for her. Subverting the classic rom-com formula — where a kiss usually marks the climax — this series starts with a kiss, promising an electrifying, dopamine-fueled love story right from the get-go.

Ahn Eun Jin plays Go Da Rim, a spirited and optimistic single woman who fakes being a mom to get hired. Things get complicated when she reunites with Gong Ji Hyeok (played by Jang Ki Yong), a former flame with whom she once shared a kiss so intense, it felt like a natural disaster. Despite facing many hardships, Go Da Rim remains cheerful and strong — a “sunshine heroine” viewers will root for.

Speaking about the complexity of her role, Ahn Eun Jin explained, “Da Rim’s situation constantly changes — she’s a job seeker, office worker, pretend mom, and even a fake married woman. There’s no room for monotony. As she tackles each challenge, she grows stronger. I chose to fully immerse myself in Da Rim’s circumstances and play her with complete focus.”

She also teased what viewers can expect from the drama’s premiere: “After watching the first episode, you’ll immediately think, ‘This is such a fun and heart-fluttering show.’ The quick-paced story will pull you in, and before you know it, you’ll fall in love with Da Rim and Ji Hyeok.”

With a bright smile, she added, “It’s such a romantic and heart-tingling project. I’m already excited to meet viewers. As autumn gets chillier, this drama will definitely warm your hearts. I hope you’ll watch it with joy and comfort. See you soon!”

Dynamite Kiss will air its first episode on Wednesday, November 12 at 9 PM KST on SBS.
