A transgender woman appeared on the October 27 episode of KBS Joy’s Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller to share her heartfelt story and publicly announce her desire to get married.
Upon meeting her, Lee Soo Geun hesitantly asked, “Is it what I’m thinking?” The guest candidly confirmed, “I’m a transgender woman who transitioned from male to female.” She revealed her concern: “Can I move on from my ex and start a new relationship?”
She added that she had already undergone breast surgery and began to understand her gender identity during middle school. “I was in denial about being gay. I had feelings for a male student for three years,” she confessed. Later, she was in a serious relationship with a man for over three years, but the relationship ended after repeated infidelities.
“Since becoming a transgender woman, I feel like many men approach me casually,” she said. In response, Seo Jang Hoon commented, “Then what was that guy to you back then? If he really loved you, why did he cheat? He probably didn’t value you either. Why are you holding onto that as a beautiful memory?”
Lee Soo Geun also chimed in with heartfelt advice: “Raise your self-esteem and love yourself more.”
The guest expressed her intention to undergo final surgery soon, completing her transition. She then made a public appeal for love, saying, “I hope he’s at least 170cm tall, athletic, has balanced features, drinks a little, and has similar spending habits.”
Seo Jang Hoon responded with a dose of reality, “That’s quite a list. The more you expect, the more disappointed you’ll be. Meeting a perfect person is not easy. Being too focused on conditions can make life harder. You should reflect on that.”
