Actress Jeon So-min made her much-anticipated return to SBS’s variety show Running Man, marking her first appearance in nine months since stepping away from the program.
The October 19 episode featured a special mission about hidden gold in Incheon — and alongside guest Yang Se-hyung, Jeon So-min rejoined the cast to the delight of fans and fellow members.
“It feels like you never left. You’re basically still a member,” the cast joked, warmly welcoming her back.
As soon as she appeared, members noted her refreshed look and slim figure, teasing, “You’ve lost so much weight!”

Jeon So-min appeared as her iconic “chewing-gum” character Chu Gumi, instantly filling the room with laughter. When Yoo Jae-suk teased that she was back to “find gold,” Jeon So-min quipped, "I really came to make money today. I’m taking all the gold home!"
Her quick wit and unfiltered honesty drew laughter from both cast and viewers.
During a truth-or-dare style game, when asked whether she had kissed anyone recently, Jeon So-min jokingly gestured to Yang Se-chan, pretending the two shared a playful off-screen moment. The pair’s comedic chemistry sparked instant amusement among fans.
Later, during a meal scene, Jeon So-min sat beside Yang Se-chan, explaining, "This is the best seat. Se-chan grills clams really well — I have to sit next to him."

Yoo Jae-suk smiled, commenting, “You can really tell how happy So-min is to be back.”
Jeon So-min admitted she felt emotional reuniting with the team: “It’s been so long. I missed everyone so much.”
After leaving Running Man last year, Jeon So-min revealed in an interview that she had been working part-time at a friend’s café to support herself.
“The industry was tough, and I didn’t know what to do for a while,” she confessed — earning praise from fans for her honesty and humility.
Her candidness about everyday struggles has made her even more relatable to the public, and her cheerful return to Running Man marks a new beginning for the beloved entertainer.
