On October 14, King Kong by Starship released a public notice addressing repeated incidents of extreme fan behavior. The agency stated, “Recently, there have been continuous cases of individuals visiting the artist’s private residence and unofficial schedules without permission, attempting to make contact, or leaving inappropriate letters—severely violating his privacy.”

The agency emphasized that such actions would no longer be tolerated, announcing, “We will take strict legal action against all forms of privacy invasion, including visits to the artist’s home, intrusion into private spaces, tracking of unofficial schedules, and the leaking of personal information.”

They further addressed incidents involving travel and international schedules, warning, “Obtaining flight information through unlawful means, boarding the same flight as the artist, or attempting to approach him on the plane also constitutes an invasion of privacy and will result in legal consequences.”

The company concluded by urging fans to respect the actor’s personal boundaries: “These actions are clearly illegal. We kindly ask fans to cooperate and refrain from any behavior that may compromise the artist’s safety, privacy, and rights.”

Lee Dong Wook, known for his roles in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Tale of the Nine Tailed, and Bad and Crazy, remains one of South Korea’s most popular and recognizable actors. His agency’s firm stance underscores growing concerns over the extreme lengths some fans go to in pursuit of their favorite celebrities.
