On the October 13 episode of Channel A’s Best Friend Documentary: Table for 4, Jung Woong In appeared as a guest and invited his close friends, director Jang Hang Jun and actress Song Sun Mi, to join him in a candid conversation.
Jung, a proud father of three daughters — Se Yoon, So Yoon, and Da Yoon — expressed joy at how well they’ve grown. “My daughters have all grown up without any major issues. I don’t think they even went through rebellious phases. I think it’s thanks to their mother’s influence,” he said with a smile.
He also explained why he stopped appearing on variety shows after once gaining huge popularity on MBC’s Dad! Where Are We Going?. “As the kids got older, they didn’t like being exposed to the public anymore. I didn’t see the need to keep appearing on those shows,” he shared. “Recently, though, there was a program that sent kids on trips together, so I asked if they wanted to make some memories — they went to Japan and had a great time.”

Jung then revealed the reason behind his current “two-house” lifestyle. “My second daughter got into Seoul Arts High School. She used to commute from Bundang to Gwanghwamun for middle school, which was really tough for three years. Her high school in Pyeongchang-dong is even farther, and she said she couldn’t handle the distance anymore. My family looked at me, so I decided, ‘I’ll go with her.’ I rented a small place nearby, and now I live there,” he explained.
He added, “My youngest wanted to stay in Bundang with her friends, so she lives with her mom, while I stay in Pyeongchang-dong with my first and second daughters.”
Jung, who is currently managing household duties while supporting his children, humorously shared, “Housework is a constant battle with hair. I always make sure the girls have a proper home-cooked meal. They love it and always compliment my cooking, which makes me happy.”
Reflecting on fatherhood, he said, “Taking care of my kids makes me truly happy. Being able to do that is a blessing. I just want to ensure that I can always support them and feed them three meals a day, even when I’m older. That’s what I see as my responsibility as a father.”
As for his daughters’ possible acting careers, Jung admitted his perspective has changed over time. “I used to be against it because it’s a difficult path, but my eldest recently performed in a musical. She really seemed to enjoy it, so I told her to give it a try. My youngest might follow that path too — she used to help me read scripts and even highlighted lines for me. She’s definitely interested.”
