On October 12, an acquaintance of Kim Jong-kook posted a photo on social media showing the singer posing casually at a barbecue restaurant in LA. Wearing a cap and a simple T-shirt, Kim Jong-kook flashed a peace sign for the camera.
According to the acquaintance, this marked Kim Jong-kook’s last stop in LA, where he had been spending the Chuseok holiday. The post included a brief caption: “Have a safe trip back!”
A restaurant staff member also shared, “Kim Jong-kook visited before flying back to Seoul. We congratulated him on his marriage and wished him happiness with his wife.”
It’s believed that the singer boarded a flight to Korea shortly afterward.
Kim Jong-kook, who married a non-celebrity woman last month, recently returned from a honeymoon in Paris. He had uploaded a vlog titled “Hotel Breakfast Workout…” to his YouTube channel, documenting parts of the trip.
However, during a scene where he showed the hotel interior, viewers noticed a woman’s silhouette reflected in the window — presumed to be his wife. The woman appeared to have long hair and a slim figure, sparking immediate curiosity and speculation online.
As public interest grew, Kim Jong-kook deleted the entire video without explanation, prompting accusations that he was being overly secretive or dismissive of fans’ curiosity.
The sudden deletion triggered a wave of “unfavorable reactions” online, with some netizens questioning his transparency. Others, however, defended his decision to keep his private life out of the spotlight, noting that his wife is not a public figure.
