On October 2, Dolphiners Films released the video titled APEC 2025 KOREA: What Happened in the Parking Lot on their official channel. Directed by Shin Woo-seok, the video features a hanok-style restaurant as the main stage, with a dazzling lineup of K-celebrities making cameo appearances.
Among the highlights, IVE’s Jang Won-young humorously asks G-Dragon to “move his vehicle,” while the backdrop transitions to reveal the cultural beauty of Gyeongju. The video also depicts APEC pilots arriving, before closing with President Lee Jae-myung himself stepping in as a marshaller to guide aircraft into formation behind South Korea’s plane.

The star lineup has generated massive buzz, as it’s rare to see such figures together in one project. Appearances include President Lee Jae-myung, G-Dragon, director Park Chan-wook, IVE’s Jang Won-young, football legend Park Ji-sung, chef Anh Sung-jae, and DJ Peggy Gou.
Notably, all participants reportedly joined the project without receiving any payment, underscoring their support for the national event.
Director Shin explained, “To deliver the message effectively, we needed figures who not only represent Korea’s pop culture but also enjoy global recognition. Casting was challenging, but essential.”
He revealed that G-Dragon managed to film immediately after returning from a New York performance before heading off again to Las Vegas, while Park Chan-wook squeezed filming into his busy film promotion schedule.
Shin also praised President Lee Jae-myung’s cameo, which was so natural that some netizens jokingly questioned if it was AI-generated. “We felt the host nation’s leader needed to be part of the project,” he said. “But instead of portraying him in a lofty manner, we asked him to play the role of a parking manager organizing international aircraft. It wasn’t an easy request, but he agreed, and we’re deeply grateful.”
