On October 1, Korean Armed Forces Day, the team behind the film The First Ride released Cha Eun-woo’s handwritten letter and video message through its official social media accounts.
Introducing himself, Cha Eun-woo wrote, “I’m Cha Eun-woo, playing the role of Yeon-min in The First Ride. Since I am currently serving in the military, I can’t participate in promotions, so I wanted to greet you with this letter.”

He continued, “The First Ride is a project I filmed with great passion and joy, so I kindly ask for your love and interest!!”
Although he couldn’t attend promotional events in person, Cha Eun-woo reassured fans: “Even though I can’t be there, I’ll be cheering from here. I promise to return as an even better version of myself, so please trust and wait for me.”
The First Ride tells the comedic story of childhood friends embarking on their long-awaited first overseas trip, only to face unexpected twists and turns. Alongside Cha Eun-woo, the film stars Kang Ha-neul and Kim Young-kwang.

Cha Eun-woo takes on the role of Ahn Yeon-min, a character who dreams of becoming a world music festival DJ despite his current mundane reality. The movie is set to premiere on October 29.
