After parting ways with Kim Soo Hyun’s agency Gold Medalist last month and signing with Varo Entertainment, actor Lee Chae Min successfully wrapped up his role as King Yi Heon in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Reports revealed that, thanks to the drama’s immense popularity, he received more than 30 new scripts for potential future projects.
In the drama’s finale, which aired on September 28, Yi Heon (played by Lee Chae Min) faced betrayal and wrongful accusations, including the shocking charge of killing the Grand Queen Dowager (Seo Yi Sook). Despite losing everything, he fought against Prince Jesan (Choi Gwi Hwa), who had kidnapped Yeon Ji Young (Im Yoon Ah). Though stripped of his throne and exiled, Yi Heon’s unwavering fight ended in a dramatic showdown. In a bittersweet twist, he accepted Ji Young’s tragic fate yet was miraculously reunited with her in modern times, closing the story with a hopeful and romantic ending.
