On September 26, KBS 2TV’s Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant aired its second installment of the Chuseok special “Mom’s Hand Edition”. The episode featured Song Ga-in returning to her hometown of Jindo to spend warm family time with her parents. The broadcast recorded a 3.9% nationwide viewership, making it the top entertainment show in its time slot.
To welcome their daughter home, Song Ga-in’s parents prepared a lavish feast filled with local Jindo flavors. During meal, Song Ga-in teased her father about his newfound affectionate nature, joking, “It hasn’t been that long since he started acting like this,” which had everyone laughing.
While tidying up the house, her parents paused in front of family photos on the wall. Among them was a picture of Song Ga-in as a middle schooler, smiling sweetly. Everyone exclaimed how “cute” she looked. Her parents then playfully remarked, “Our little girl is already at the age to get married,” before debating about her future. Her father said, “Just have two kids, a boy and a girl,” while her mother insisted, “No, three children.”
When asked what qualities they hoped for in a future son-in-law, her parents emphasized that above all, he should be someone who can truly support Song Ga-in with love and understanding, especially given her busy career.
In response, Song Ga-in admitted, “I do want to get married, but it’s not something that happens just because you want it to.” Fellow unmarried stars Kim Jae-joong and Park Tae-hwan sympathized, adding to the laughter.
