On September 26, the YouTube channel Solbi Is Back released a video titled A Friend Who Looks Like Jun Ji-hyun Spills Solbi’s Secrets. During the segment, Solbi visited Song Yi-woo’s home and recalled, “One day she suddenly invited me to her wedding. It was very rushed, just a week or two before.”

Laughing, Song Yi-woo admitted, “We got married after just a month. But soon after, a crisis came. Within two years, we divorced.” She reflected, “That’s when I realized how difficult it is to live with someone. Sometimes it can feel harder than social life itself.”

When asked about the moment things began to fall apart, Song Yi-woo explained, “When you get annoyed, you start questioning—‘Why doesn’t he do this anymore? Why is he reacting differently than before?’ Slowly, he just went back to living his old life. At first, with love goggles on, you think, ‘I can adjust to anything.’ But eventually you ask yourself, ‘Do I really have to?’”

She added, “Marriage is really an endless fight of consideration. There are so many times you don’t want to do something your partner asks. But you need to do it with a calm and peaceful heart. They say there are stages—if you get past the 4th or 5th year, you can make it to the 10th, then 20 or 30 years. Some couples are beautiful like that.”

When asked if she would marry again if given the chance to turn back time, Song Yi-woo answered “Yes.” But when the production team followed up with “To the same person?” she exclaimed, “That’s a harsh question!”

She also shared her advice for choosing a partner: “Check their drinking habits and empathy. If empathy is underdeveloped, conversations will break down.”

Song Yi-woo, a graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts’ Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment, made her debut in the 2003 film Silver Knife. She later appeared in Miracle in Cell No.7, Stranger Than Paradise, Hwang Jin Yi, Aeja’s Older Sister, Minja, It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl, Night Watchman’s Journal, and Ladies of Storm. Most recently, she played CEO Jung in The Roundup: No Way Out.

She married a businessman in 2018, but their marriage ended in divorce two years later.
