On the September 11 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Problem Child in House, Kim Jong-kook addressed long-running rumors surrounding his marriage.
The MCs expressed surprise as they welcomed the singer, now a “newlywed” just one week after his private wedding. Kim, who had previously been hesitant to talk about marriage, clarified that many of the circulating stories about his wife were entirely false.
When Kim Sook jokingly asked if his spouse worked at a gym, Kim firmly replied, “No,” adding, “Other than her gender, none of those rumors are true.” He denied claims that the couple met at a fitness club, that there was a 20-year age gap, or that his wife was a CEO.
Song Eun-yi teased, “At least tell us if she’s older than me,” to which Kim humorously responded, “That wasn’t in the rumors,” drawing laughter. He concluded by emphasizing that while there is some age difference, it is not significant.
