It has been seven months since the passing of Barbie Hsu, with her resting place at Taiwan’s Jinbaoshan Rose Garden for six months. Her husband, singer and DJ Koo Jun-yeop, continues to visit and care for her grave, mourning her loss.

On September 5, a post on China’s largest social media platform, Weibo, revealed that Koo Jun-yeop was still regularly visiting Barbie Hsu’s grave.
A fan, who traveled from Los Angeles to Taiwan specifically to pay respects, shared an eyewitness account of Koo Jun-yeop at the cemetery. The fan wrote that Koo Jun-yeop had been sitting alone in front of the grave around 7 a.m., carefully editing photos of Barbie Hsu on a tablet.

A video shared alongside the post showed Koo Jun-yeop working on her photos at the gravesite. A couple’s photo of them together and some of Barbie Hsu’s favorite pastries placed near the gravestone were also captured, highlighting the intimacy and care he continues to show.
The fan also recalled an emotional interaction at the gravesite. Overcome with emotion, the fan accidentally shed tears on the tombstone. Koo Jun-yeop gently wiped the stone and reassured them, saying, “It’s okay,” even making space to allow fans to spend time speaking to Barbie Hsu.
Witnesses report that Koo Jun-yeop spends long hours at the gravesite nearly every day, often looking through old photos or watching dramas Barbie Hsu starred in, including Meteor Garden.

Koo Jun-yeop and Barbie Hsu first met in Taiwan in 1998, but long-distance challenges and opposition from agencies led to their breakup after a year. They reunited more than two decades later after Barbie Hsu’s divorce in 2021, marrying in 2022.
Tragically, Barbie Hsu passed away suddenly in February during a family trip to Japan due to influenza complicated by pneumonia. At the time, Koo Jun-yeop expressed his grief publicly: “My angel has returned to heaven… I am enduring a pain so deep that words cannot describe it.”
