A glimpse into one of Seoul’s most exclusive residences has stirred attention after Jun Ji-hyun’s luxury apartment in Seongsu-dong, valued at around ₩13.5 billion (approx. $10 million), was featured on MBC’s variety show Where Is My Home.

On the September 4 broadcast, singers Wendy and Lee Seok-hoon explored the Seongsu area, which has skyrocketed in value over the past decade. Once a quiet district, Seongsu is now one of the hottest real estate hubs in Seoul, with official land prices reaching as high as ₩100 million per pyeong (1 pyeong = 3.3 square meters).

Their first stop was one of Seongsu’s “big three” high-end apartments, home to celebrities including Jun Ji-hyun, SHINee’s Taemin, and veteran broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung. Before stepping inside, Yang Se-hyung shocked everyone by saying: “Units here go for over ₩10 billion, and at the highest, ₩300 million per pyeong.” Lee Seok-hoon, who once lived in Seongsu, jokingly admitted: “It makes me upset just looking at such a place. If I had just bought here in 2014, my life would be completely different now.”

Inside, the apartment offered sweeping views of the Han River and Seoul Forest through expansive glass windows. Even though the interior had not been remodeled, the sleek design and breathtaking view left the cast speechless. “Meeting a dream home like this just makes you sigh,” Lee confessed.

The bedrooms also boasted river views, drawing mixed reactions. While Yang Se-hyung asked, “Wouldn’t you get tired of the same view every day?” Wendy firmly replied, “With this view? Never.”

The group also noted the strict security and exclusivity of the residence. Joo Woo-jae commented that even food deliveries were complicated, saying: “My best friend lived here for two years, and every time I visited, the security was so tight it was stressful just getting in.”

The apartment building, completed in 2017, set record prices at launch—₩47.5 million per pyeong—yet all units sold out immediately. Yang Se-hyung revealed that when three units were unexpectedly returned, the developer livestreamed a lottery draw that attracted over 200,000 applicants. Today, a high-floor unit is valued at ₩13.5 billion.
