On September 1, Jungkook held a special live broadcast to connect with fans for his birthday. Other BTS members also shared clips and photos to mark the occasion, continuing the group’s long tradition of celebrating one another publicly.
However, fans quickly noticed that Jimin — usually one of the fastest members to post for birthdays — had not shared anything as of late evening in Korea. Netizens were quick to link the absence to his ongoing controversy involving actress Song Da-eun, who recently uploaded (and deleted) a video of Jimin, fueling speculation about their relationship.
BIGHIT Music previously released a statement through Korean media addressing the controversy, but many fans were left dissatisfied, saying the company failed to resolve suspicions. The timing of the silence on Jungkook’s birthday only added fuel to the fire.
