According to a report by Money Today on August 31, the two were romantically involved around Jimin’s military enlistment. However, insiders clarified that the relationship ended long ago.
One entertainment insider stated, “They briefly met, but they are no longer in contact. Most of the photos and videos Song Da-eun shared on social media were taken during their short relationship.”
The timeline remains unclear, but another source pointed out, “Given Jimin’s military service from 2023 to recently, it’s unlikely that they’re currently dating.”
Rumors initially surfaced back in 2022 when Song Da-eun posted photos with BTS merchandise, sparking fan suspicion. At the time, she denied having a boyfriend during a livestream. However, in June 2025, she addressed the backlash with a bold statement:
“I don’t deserve hate just because your favorite idol loved me.”
The most recent controversy comes from an alleged video of Jimin’s home, shared by Song Da-eun. Legal experts note that if such content was shared without consent, it could violate South Korea’s Information and Communication Network Act, potentially leading to imprisonment of up to 7 years.
As of now, neither BigHit Music nor Jimin has issued an official statement regarding the resurfaced rumors.
