TV CHOSUN’s upcoming weekend mini-series Confidence Queen has fans buzzing after the release of its first teaser video, featuring Park Min-young, Park Hee-soon, and Joo Jong-hyuk showcasing their dazzling “conman power.” The series premieres on Saturday, September 6 at 9:10 PM on TV CHOSUN and Coupang Play, while Amazon Prime Video will stream it in over 240 regions worldwide.

The drama follows three gifted con artists who join forces to take revenge on modern-day villains in a stylish caper-comedy. Helmed by director Nam Ki-hoon (Big Bet, Voice 3) and writers Hong Seung-hyun (Criminal Minds) and Kim Da-hye, the project promises a refreshing, witty take on the K-drama caper genre. Park Min-young stars as Yoon Yi-rang, a genius leader with an IQ of 165, Park Hee-soon plays James, the suave strategist and mentor figure, while Joo Jong-hyuk portrays Myung Gu-ho, the pure-hearted youngest member.

The 30-second teaser immediately caught attention with its fast-paced transformations and thrilling reversals. Yoon Yi-rang is seen holding a gun with steely determination, warning, “There’s only one way to win the game—don’t be fooled by what’s in front of you.” Quick cuts then show a charismatic shaman Baek-hwa (Song Ji-hyo), a sharp-eyed Gu-ho adjusting his glasses, and James disguised as a dealer in his sixties.

Tension spikes when Baek-hwa hurls an insult “You vulgar wench!” only for Yoon Yi-rang, dressed in hanbok, to unleash her sword skills and subdue her in one swift move. Moments later, she parachutes down dramatically, declaring, “Meeting me turns your life into a spectacular blockbuster.” Scenes of money gushing out of machines, champagne toasts, and celebratory gunfire with money-shooters amplify the spectacle.

The teaser balances humor and suspense, showing Yoon Yi-rang disguised as a flight attendant joking, “Like a sea squirt embracing the enemy to die together,” while later James ends up injured in a cast, hinting at a plan gone wrong. Bloodied confrontations with villain Jeon Tae-soo (Jung Woong-in), eerie winks, and shocking threats leave viewers unsettled yet intrigued. The clip closes with high-stakes tension as Gu-ho bleeds from his nose while a gun is forced into his mouth, with Yoon Yi-rang visibly shaken.

With Park Min-young’s fierce presence, Park Hee-soon’s gravitas, Joo Jong-hyuk’s earnest charm, and Song Ji-hyo’s fiery intensity, Confidence Queen is set to deliver a stylish and unpredictable ride packed with action, comedy, and mind games.
