On August 27, Jeon Somi appeared as a guest on comedian Lee Yong-jin’s YouTube channel, where the two looked back on her 10-year career.
When asked if she was considered a senior artist within the company, Jeon Somi replied, “Yes. At THE BLACK LABEL, Taeyang, Rosé, and I are the seniors.”
Recalling her early days, she said, “When I first joined the company, the office was about the size of this studio. There were mostly music-based producers and only about 15 staff members. Now there are around 150 employees, and we even have our own building in Itaewon.”
Lee Yong-jin praised her contributions, joking, “You’re basically a founding member. Didn’t you at least lay down some concrete?”
Jeon Somi responded, “Maybe… at least the parking lot.”
Her lighthearted remark highlighted both her longevity in the company and the incredible growth THE BLACK LABEL has achieved since its humble beginnings.
