Viewers of MBC’s Mysterious TV Surprise were stunned on August 24 when the show revisited one of the most bizarre alien abduction claims in recent decades.
The case centers on Giovanna Podda, a woman from Sardinia, Italy, who first came forward on the 2009 Italian mystery program Mistero. At the time, Podda —then 39 years old—claimed she had been abducted by “the Greys” at age five and subjected to 30 years of experiments.
Most shocking of all, she alleged that aliens forced her into 18 pregnancies as part of a hybrid breeding program. According to Podda, the Greys had become infertile due to reckless nuclear energy use and attempted to preserve their species by creating human–alien hybrids.
On the broadcast, she even presented what she said were photos of alien fetuses. However, experts who reviewed the images suggested the remains looked more like a dead rabbit, pointing out the limb positioning and rabbit-like skull.
Podda’s claims caused her to be branded a liar, costing her both her job and her place in her hometown. Still, she pushed her story further, insisting aliens had also implanted a mysterious chip in her brain.
When doctors conducted a CT scan, they indeed found an unexplained object lodged between her brain hemispheres. Strangely, her skull showed no signs of surgical intrusion. Podda maintained, “The aliens implanted it to monitor me.”
Despite skepticism and accusations of fraud, she has continued to travel worldwide, sharing her alleged experiences as an alien abduction survivor.
MBC’s Mysterious TV Surprise, which dramatizes both minor incidents and global mysteries, revived Podda’s story, leaving viewers to once again ask: hoax, delusion, or proof of something beyond?
