On August 22, Daesung’s official YouTube channel Zip Daesung uploaded a special video titled “We’re Having a Party~ Inviting Friends~ Are You Coming Too?” featuring G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. The three gathered in a “memory room” filled with keepsakes from their debut days — their first albums, early lightsticks, debut fan sign photos, and even concert memorabilia.
G-Dragon looked around in awe, joking: “Aren’t these artifacts now?” He proudly recalled, “Not to brag, but we were the first to release mini-albums,” before sparking laughter by claiming BIGBANG was also the origin of K-pop lightsticks.
When he went on to mention fan lightsticks, Taeyang cautiously interjected, “Se7en keeps leaving comments about that.” G-Dragon laughed and said, “Yes, Se7en has his Se7en-bong. But the origin of the lightstick trend is us, ” jokingly putting an end to the debate.
The celebration grew livelier when celebrity friends including Go Kyung-pyo, CL, Kwon Twins, and Vince arrived. G-Dragon, serving as MC, quickly found himself overwhelmed.

He admitted: “I shouldn’t have taken this on. Too many people showed up. I didn’t plan for it to be this big… I think I’ll only do MC duties for one day. Now I finally understand Daesung’s struggles. It’s exhausting.” That’s when Daesung seized the moment. With a cheeky grin, he quipped: “Honestly, I love it. I always thought Ji-yong hyung (G-Dragon) was good at everything, but it turns out he has a weak spot. He’s terrible at hosting!”
The playful jab had everyone in stitches. Daesung added, “Why should he be good at everything? As long as he’s good at music, that’s enough, right?” G-Dragon laughed in agreement: “Exactly! I’m a singer, after all.”
The room erupted with laughter again, proving that even after nearly two decades, BIGBANG’s bond is as strong—and funny—as ever.
