Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin-sil, has opened up about her deep affection for the aunt who raised her, sharing emotional photos from her childhood.

On August 10th, Choi Jun-hee posted several childhood photos on her social media account with the caption, “Even when mom was beside me, I always stuck like glue to my great aunt.” The photos capture the late Choi Jin-sil holding her son Choi Hwan-hee, while her maternal grandmother is seen warmly embracing a young Jun-hee, conveying a tender and heartfelt scene.

In one picture, young Jun-hee is nestled comfortably in her great-aunt’s arms, vividly showing the comfort and love they shared. Additionally, Jun-hee shared a recent photo of herself with her great aunt, accompanied by the playful remark, “When did you get so old?” Both are smiling brightly, creating a warm and affectionate atmosphere.

Previously, Choi Jun-hee had revealed her strained relationship with her maternal grandmother but consistently expressed love and gratitude toward her great aunt who raised her.

After winning the Rising Star Award at the 32nd Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards, she shared, “My aunt who raised me like a mother. Thanks to her deep love and dedication, I am who I am today. She has been my greatest support and reason for living, loving me unwaveringly through difficult times.”

In June, on her YouTube channel, Jun-hee also expressed a close bond with her great-aunt, saying, “I think we were spouses in a past life. According to mom, if my aunt wasn’t there, I would be very depressed and sad. My aunt went to the U.S. to visit her son, and when I was feeling sad, my mom told me to call her, and although I was shy, I would hide behind the curtain and talk to her. Eventually, my mom was so moved, she told my aunt to take me with her to America.” Then, she became emotional and continued, “How would anyone know? No one knows how we grew up.”

Choi Jun-hee is actively working as an influencer and recently caught attention by walking the runway at the “Daily Mirror” collection during the 2025 F/W Seoul Fashion Week held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
