Kang Mina, well-known actress and former I.O.I member, has officially renewed her contract with Story J Company as she prepares for the highly anticipated I.O.I reunion project.
On August 6, Story J Company confirmed the renewal of Kang Mina’s contract, “We are delighted to continue our strong partnership with actress Kang Mina based on mutual trust. We will fully support her to shine in various fields as a reliable partner.”
Since her debut, Kang Mina has earned praise for her stable and versatile acting performances. She has appeared in popular dramas such as: Hotel Del Luna (tvN), Moonshine (KBS 2TV), Café Minamdang (KBS 2TV), Welcome to Samdal-ri (JTBC).
Additionally, she starred in the movie The Good Job, showcasing her ability to cross between the small and big screens with ease.
Kang Mina is set to take on a new challenge with her role in the upcoming series Twelve, which will premiere on August 23 on KBS 2TV and Disney+. She plays the angel “Kang Ji,” a character symbolizing a dog — swift and fierce in battle but deeply warm-hearted toward humans.
Story J Company manages a diverse group of talented actors including Seo In-guk, with whom Kang Mina shares a special connection. Both previously belonged to Jellyfish Entertainment, making their collaboration at Story J Company notable.
Kang Mina debuted in 2016 through Mnet’s Produce 101 and rose to fame as a member of the project girl group I.O.I, which wrapped up activities in 2017.
The renewal not only signals Kang Mina’s rising trajectory as an actress but also heightens excitement for the upcoming I.O.I reunion.
