Chinese actress Zhao Lusi is at the center of a heated industry storm after openly confronting her management company, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, with a defiant message: “I’m ready to face any consequences, ready to pay the price. I just want to speak out. Right is right, wrong is wrong.”

The Hidden Love star has been with the agency for 10 years, climbing from an unknown to a top-tier A-list actress and one of the company’s biggest assets. With four years left on her contract, industry watchers say an early exit would come with a hefty buyout fee.
While Zhao Lusi is far from the flashy “luxury show-off” type, QQ’s review of her assets shows she’s no stranger to high-end indulgence:
- A vast collection of designer handbags worth tens to hundreds of thousands of RMB each, including multiple Hermès pieces.
- A luxury villa in one of China’s most expensive districts, valued at over 30 million RMB, furnished with costly décor — from a 60,000 RMB mirror to an 8,000 RMB designer table lamp.
Since her breakout role in The Romance of Tiger and Rose (2020), Zhao Lusi has maintained a packed schedule — averaging two dramas a year, securing over 10 brand endorsements annually, and appearing at major events. Singer Jeff Chang even claimed she is the financial backbone of her agency, suggesting the company would struggle without her.

However, questions remain about how much of her earnings actually reach her. Zhao Lusi revealed that after leaving the drama Lover due to illness, the agency blamed her and allegedly withdrew funds from her studio account to cover compensation costs.
Rumors circulating online claim Zhao Lusi may need to pay 400 million RMB to end her contract — though the figure remains unconfirmed. Still, judging by her current combative stance, the The Story of Pearl Girl actress seems prepared to take the financial hit to escape what she describes as a psychologically damaging situation.
