Jiwoo, the sister of BTS’s [J-Hope], has publicly addressed a wave of invasive and insensitive comments questioning whether she is pregnant — making it clear that such personal speculation is unwelcome and harmful.
The incident began when a netizen left a comment asking, “Aren’t you pregnant? Or you lost the baby? There is no bump and you are wearing tight clothes and doing exercise.” Jiwoo, clearly shaken by the personal nature of the message, posted a candid and heartfelt response.

“We’re trying for a baby, but there’s nothing to share yet… I’m honestly shocked that someone I don’t even know could ask such a personal and inappropriate question about our private life,” she wrote. “When did I ever say ‘I’m pregnant’? I’ve said nothing, but people here are making up stories like they’re confirmed facts.”
She went on to address the harmful speculation — including unfounded rumors that she had a miscarriage or was seen drinking — and asked for people to respect her privacy and emotional boundaries.

This isn’t the first time Jiwoo has faced inappropriate questions about pregnancy. In a previous post, she shared:
“I’ll be the first to let you know if I receive good news someday. I don’t want to receive questions like this, I beg you… I prepared hard for it, but things didn’t go as planned, so I felt guilty and had a hard time for a while.”
She also explained the emotional toll these recurring questions take on her and her family:
“You might wonder why I’m so sensitive over this, but every time we hear questions like this, I get stressed from the pressure… I hope everyone can understand my situation.”

Following her statements, many netizens expressed support, calling out the cruelty and insensitivity of strangers speculating about such a deeply personal issue.
With public figures often under intense scrutiny, Jiwoo’s plea serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy and boundaries — especially on topics as sensitive as pregnancy and fertility.
