Recently, photos surfaced on an online community showing ALLDAY PROJECT‘s Youngseo in her childhood years wearing the uniform of Branksome Hall Asia, a prestigious international school located in Jeju’s English Education City.

The school, which follows the Canadian curriculum, is known for its hefty annual tuition ranging from 30 to 40 million KRW (approx. $21,400–28,500 USD), not including dormitory fees. It primarily serves children from Korea’s upper-class families.

Following her time in Jeju, Youngseo reportedly transferred to Kyunggi Elementary School in Seoul’s Seodaemun District a school often dubbed a “chaebol elementary” for its alumni that include major corporate heirs such as Lee Jae-yong (Samsung) and Chung Yoo-kyung (Shinsegae).

Although fans have praised her talent and visuals since debut, this revelation has stirred new curiosity. Many speculate that Youngseo may have ties to the Shinsegae Group, Korea’s top-tier retail conglomerate, especially considering the elite school connections and her surname “Chung,” which matches that of Shinsegae’s owner family.

Meanwhile, Youngseo debuted on June 23 as part of THEBLACKLABEL’s five-member mixed-gender group ALLDAY PROJECT, produced by Teddy. The group made waves with their debut single “FAMOUS“, showcasing strong visuals and a polished performance style from day one.
