The final episode of Mnet’s World of Street Woman Fighter (WSWF), which aired on the night of July 22, crowned Japanese dance crew Osaka Ojo Gang as the ultimate winners. AG SQUAD from Australia took second place, and MOTIV from the United States secured third, bringing an intense international competition to a dramatic close.
However, Osaka Ojo Gang’s victory has sparked heated debate among viewers. Many netizens argued that AG SQUAD, which placed first in the majority of missions, was more deserving of the title. Others suggested that **Kyoka’s **immense popularity played a decisive role in swaying votes, overshadowing performance metrics.

Criticism was also aimed at the production team, particularly over **J.Y.Park’s **special mission in the finale. Viewers questioned the necessity of a new song performance by the judge himself, with comments like “Why overshadow the dancers with your spotlight?” and “Why did he make himself the star of the finale?”
While some viewers voiced disappointment and concern, others praised the efforts of all crews and expressed admiration for Kyoka, calling her a “divine presence” in the dance world.
Osaka Ojo Gang’s leader Ibuki expressed heartfelt gratitude during the finale, stating, “Thank you so much. I’m just glad we could keep going until today. This was our youth.” AG SQUAD’s leader Kaea responded graciously to their narrow second-place finish, “We may not have won, but this show brought us together.”
The program, which first aired on May 27, maintained the No. 1 spot in TV and OTT buzz for seven consecutive weeks, fueling a global street dance craze. A nationwide concert tour is slated to begin in September following the show’s conclusion.

Amid the celebration, controversy also resurfaced over Kyoka, a key member of Osaka Ojo Gang, who was previously photographed wearing a shirt featuring the Rising Sun Flag, a symbol associated with Japanese militarism and wartime atrocities.
Despite backlash online, Kyoka has not issued any statement or apology, which prompted some viewers to question the fairness of her team’s win. “Can a team win when a key member has unresolved controversy?” some critics asked.
As fans and critics alike digest the outcome, the season ends on a polarizing note—celebrated for its global reach and performance but clouded by debates over fairness and accountability.
