A couple caught lying down and engaging in excessive public displays of affection (PDA) at a café in Daegu has sparked intense backlash after the café owner exposed their behavior on social media.

On April 28, café owner A shared a post on SNS saying, “I debated dozens of times whether to upload this or not. I thought, ‘what’s the point of posting customers’ photos?'” However, they eventually decided to speak out, stating, “I just couldn’t hold it in anymore.”

According to the owner, the couple had previously engaged in inappropriate behavior during multiple visits, including arguing loudly, ripping and leaving behind damaged clothing, and leaving trash on tables without cleaning up. Despite repeated warnings, their disruptive behavior continued.

“Recently, I even asked them to at least return their trays, and we’ve received multiple complaints from other customers about the noise. But yesterday was the last straw,” the owner wrote, attaching a photo captured from CCTV around 7 PM.

The CCTV image showed the two lying down together on a long bench, with the woman lying directly on top of the man, sparking widespread disgust among netizens.

Online reactions included:

  • “What kind of selfish behavior is this in someone else’s business?”
  • “No partitions, no shame — unbelievable.”
  • “They’re like animals. Absolutely disgusting.”
  • “I thought it was just kissing based on the post, but this goes way beyond that.”

Public outrage continues to grow as many criticize not just the couple’s behavior, but also the general lack of basic manners in public spaces.
