MV
Lyrics
When every scene’s rolling in good
Why you acting like it’s so bad
There is nothing left to see right so I’d
Paint all over this pain-full of black
Seems like you like to start an argument
Win or lose, Just for the hell of it
“你总是问我爱你,爱得有多深“
You never like it when it’s nice
‘Drama queen’ got it from her mama
Rather hang up to pick a fight
What goes around here comes the karma
Baby it’s cold outside, I’ll make you warm
Burn, Burn, this love
‘The End’ begins for us be nice
I bet you like it, Bet you like this
I’ve lost an angel, Falling in love
Blessing the curse that we are born with and
I gave it all that I could but
How dare you be so cold and heartless
Let’s take a bow “ ”
I’m out the door “You want more?”
Go play the role(lol) alone
“わからない、意味もないし。何故? 君は…”
You never like it when it’s nice
‘Drama queen’ got it from her mama
Rather hang up to pick a fight
What goes around here comes the karma
Baby it’s cold outside, I’ll make you warm
Burn, Burn, this love
‘The End’ begins for us be nice
I bet you like it, Bet you like this
I don’t know why can’t we be drama free
More than just a minute I keep asking myself, What the hell am I doing in this…?
‘극’에 달한 ‘희비’가 갈마드는 ‘드라마’
You never like it when it’s nice
‘Drama queen’ got it from her mama
Rather hang up to pick a fight
What goes around here comes the karma
Baby it’s cold outside, I’ll make you warm
Burn, Burn, this love
‘The End’ begins for us be nice
I bet you like it, you like a …..
You never like it when it’s nice
‘Drama queen’ got it from her mama
Baby it’s cold outside
Burn, Burn, this love
You never like it when it’s nice
Meaning
“Übermensch” marks G-Dragon’s first solo album release in approximately eight years. The title, meaning “the one who transcends”, reflects his determination to surpass his own limits. The album showcases a diverse musical spectrum, ranging from the upbeat “Too Bad” to the emotional “Drama”, generating explosive interest from global fans.

“Drama” is a song where you can hear G-Dragon‘s charming and emotional vocals in his signature ballad style. Like a “drama” that reaches the extreme of fluctuating joys and sorrows, the song delivers a deep resonance with G-Dragon’s vocals expressing emotions in various languages over a lyrical piano performance.

“Drama” seems to reflect G-Dragon’s career, which has gone through too many ups and downs. And with every low point, there has always been “drama”. The taller the tree, the stronger the wind; G-Dragon’s status as a “K-pop King” also means he had to endure countless media attacks, relentless judgments, and the burden of expectations.

In the MV, we can see that the red-haired G-Dragon has returned, signaling the golden era and brightest period of the king in his peak age of music and fashion. But this time, he’s not returning on a stage with tens of thousands of people, not with deafening cheers, not with light sticks moving in sync with the beat just a lonely G-Dragon in an icy white room, with a girl whose face is carefully hidden (maybe symbolizing his past loves) and a robot taking on the role of the cameraman. Kwon Ji-yong is heartbreakingly beautiful once again that gaze we have silently admired and loved for so long has returned. His outfit unmistakably brings back the nostalgic romance of old films, evoking an aristocratic elegance.

Altogether, it creates the image of an angel who has lost his wings, replaced by a lifeless winding key and operating under the command of another force, another community, another person. This could be understood as “Drama”—from within his own company, from fans, from those in power. A G-Dragon who is exhausted, always forced to live according to what people expect, dictated by the ideal image constructed for any artist.
And what awaits in return? Hatred, contempt, or resentment? No, it is simply love. In the end, there’s “No more Drama”, just a G-dragon who ask to “let us free”.
