On the morning of Feb 12th, the press conference for Netflix’s original series “Melo Movie” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Present at the event were director Oh Choong-hwan, Choi Woo-sik, Park Bo-young, Lee Jun-young and Jeon So-nee.

“Melo Movie” is a romance drama that follows uncertain youths who wish to love and achieve their dreams, discovering and inspiring one another while overcoming personal traumas. The project is helmed by “Start-Up” and “Hotel Del Luna” director Oh Choong-hwan, alongside writer Lee Na-eun of SBS’s “Our Beloved Summer”.
In the drama, Choi Woo-sik plays Ko Gyeom, a popular critic, while Park Bo-young takes on the role of film director Kim Mu-bi.
Having previously worked with Choi Woo-sik’s close friends Park Seo-joon and Park Hyung-sik, Park Bo-young was asked about her experience. Choi Woo-sik responded first, “Everyone really likes Park Bo-young. I heard so many times that she’s kind and a good person, and now I understand why. She took care of me a lot on set, even supporting my mental well-being.”

Hearing this, Park Bo-young said, “Among them, Woo-sik is the only one who is the same age as me. Acting with someone my age made me realize how comfortable it can be. I liked all three, but I felt most at ease with Woo-sik, so I think we had the best chemistry.”
She further expressed her fondness, “For me, Woo-sik is like my laughter button. When I feel down, I’d want to look at him. He has so many endearing qualities.”
“Melo Movie” is set to premiere on Netflix on Feb 14th.
