Actress Kim Ye-rim (Red Velvet’s Yeri) is making her big screen debut in the horror genre.

Kim Ye-rim has been cast as the lead character “Park Ja-young” in the mystery horror film Next (directed by Son Dong-wan), which tells the story of a group of school friends who summon a ghost through a séance. She has confirmed her participation and has already begun filming.

In the film, Kim Ye-rim plays “Park Ja-young,” the responsible class president of 3rd-year class 5, who takes part in the séance to find out what happened to her missing sister. As strange events unfold after the séance, Park Ja-young fights to protect her classmates and leads the story in their struggle for survival.

Kim Ye-rim has gained immense love from global fans as a member of Red Velvet and has expanded her career into acting with projects such as Mint Condition and Blue Birthday. She also recently impressed audiences with her stable acting and charismatic presence in Cheongdam International High School, raising expectations for her role in this new film.
