Even Fans Are Turning Their Back On Suga After Drunk Driving Issue

Right after Suga was found riding an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol on August 6th, criticism against him has continued until now. In particular, Suga’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.227%, which is the highest among idols who were caught drunk driving, ARMYs seem to have turned back on Suga.

Following the drunk driving incident, netizens pointed out various issues of Suga, such as the male idol cursing at concerts. A netizen made a post on SNS and gained 20 million views. They criticized Suga, saying “You’re already over thirty now. It is so absurd to curse at concerts and even in your albums”.

A netizen pointed out, “Because of the drunk driving issue, even if they reunite next year, they won’t be able to appear on music shows from the three major broadcasting stations. If he doesn’t leave the group, it means giving up on domestic activities. Even during overseas tours, as an ex-convict, he’ll have to go through separate immigration procedures in each country.”

As this post gained millions of views and support, even BTS Music Information Team also endorsed it, saying, “Everyone is being affected by this. We ask for a quick decision”.

Meanwhile, Suga was found to have fallen while riding an electric scooter in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on August 6th. Suga and Big Hit apologized for the issue but criticism continued because of their false statement

Police are currently coordinating schedules with Big Hit Music and the Military Manpower Administration for the investigation into Suga’s drunk driving allegation.
