On the 12th, global entertainment company IOK Company announced that it had recently established a subsidiary label called Massive E&C and signed exclusive contracts with three former key members of the idol group FIFTY FIFTY.
With these exclusive contracts, former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Aran, and Sio will begin their activities as part of a new global idol group under Massive E&C, possibly starting later this year.
Previously, these three members played a pivotal role in making “Cupid,” released last year, a global mega-hit. The song achieved remarkable milestones, such as reaching No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, No. 8 on the Billboard Global 200, and No. 5 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
In particular, member Saena created the signature choreography for “Cupid,” sparking the “TikTok Dance Challenge” craze, while Aran and Sio contributed to the domestic success of the title track and the global success of “Cupid (Twin Ver.)” with their unique vocal tones and singing abilities.
With these three members, who have been recognized for their popularity and talent both domestically and internationally, signing exclusive contracts with IOK Company, expectations are high for the debut of a new idol group.
IOK Company plans to strengthen its position in the domestic and international music markets with this contract, solidifying its place as a major player in the global entertainment industry.
