Previously, a TikTok account revisited the 2019 rumors about the two idols, highlighting that Daisy had confirmed the relationship while YG Entertainment denied it. This prompted Daisy to speak out.
According to Daisy, when the rumors first broke, she was on a plane and received a phone call from her company informing her that an article had been published. The company requested to meet her as soon as she landed, and Daisy agreed.
“I was taken to a strange office and wasn’t allowed to travel with the other members. I had no idea where I was because it wasn’t my company’s office. There, I met a senior official from the company, who I’ll call John. I was only 19 at the time and was very worried about the rumor. When John asked how I wanted to handle it, I said I wanted to deny it because it was really a baseless rumor with no evidence at all.“
“However, that jerk John started manipulating me by repeatedly asking ‘But what if they have photos?’ even though I had already told him there were none. He began planting the idea in my head that if there were photos, I would be in trouble. As I started feeling pressured, John said he would call the other company (YG) right in front of me. To this day, I don’t know if he actually made that call.”
“After the call, John told me that the other side would deny the information, and I completely supported that. You have to understand that John and the company were very stupid. John kept bringing up the nonexistent photos to pressure me, and at the time, I believed him. At that point, I told John, ‘If you understand this situation so well, then you should come up with a solution.’ And as you all saw, their best solution was what happened. Personally, I feel like I was forced to admit it.”
Daisy concluded her story by stating that she knew everything related to this situation. The dating rumor was not the reason she was “fired” from MOMOLAND; there were many other issues that occurred.
Going back to Valentine’s Day in 2019, Korean media reported, “Song Yunhyeong and Daisy are dating. They met as senior and junior in the industry, became friends, and started dating a few months ago. They enjoy spending time together whenever they have free time, just like any other couple.”
MLD Entertainment confirmed that Yunhyeong and Daisy had been dating for three months after verifying with their artist. However, YG Entertainment denied it, stating that while they did get to know each other and had good feelings, it wouldn’t go any further. The differing statements from the two companies sparked a significant controversy.
