The serious situation faced by Momoland’s JooE, who spent money trusting the agency’s settlement

Momoland’s JooE revealed her income during the group’s heyday and her current status of being active without an agency

On the December 12th broadcast of E Channel & Channel S’s “Playing Sisters”, Momoland’s JooE appeared as the youngest guest, showcasing her unique wit.

She surprised everyone by saying, “I’m currently working without being affiliated with any agency. I drove to the recording studio myself.”

Lee Ji-hye expressed concern, asking if it is difficult to manage schedules and appearance fees alone. Narsha shared a helpful tip, “It might be challenging to bring up the topic of appearance fees directly. First, put it out there, leaving room for negotiation.”

When asked “Didn’t you guys make a lot of money?“, she replied, “Momoland members received salaries after 2 years. I knew we were doing well. My parents even bought a foreign car.”

JooE added, “But after COVID-19, we need to sell the foreign car now.”

JooE’s group Momoland debuted in 2016 with “Welcome to MOMOLAND” and gained popularity with hits like “BBoom BBoom” in 2018. Despite their success, there were disbandment rumors when the exclusive contract with MLD Entertainment expired last January, six years and two months after their debut.

JooE, currently pursuing solo activities, expressed, “It’s tough, but it’s nice not having to share profits with other members.” She also candidly confessed about getting a nose job, captivating everyone with her honest charm.

Regarding the disbandment rumors, she clarified, “Momoland didn’t disband but people think we already disbanded. We’re going to have an overseas fanmeeting.”

Meanwhile, “Playing Sisters” airs every Tuesday at 8:40 PM.
