MOMOLAND’s Nancy, “Real Name Was Seung-ri, Mom Changed It Because She Had A Bad Feeling”

MOMOLAND’s Nancy revealed her real name and explained why she changed it

On December 21st, the YouTube channel “No Back Tak Jae-hoon” uploaded a new content video featuring the guest appearance of MOMOLAND’s Nancy.

In the video, Tak Jae-hoon asked Nancy, “Your name has nothing to do with Nancy Lang. I wonder what would happen if you two accidentally met each other?”. In response, Nancy said, “I would be so glad to meet her. We have the same name, right? In the past, when I searched my name on the Internet, the results would show both of us”.

Tak Jae-hoon continued asking, “Your Korean name is Lee Geu-ru. What does it mean?”. Nancy replied, “That’s my name in Korean. Its meaning is the hope that I would grow up like a big tree”.

Later, Tak Jae-hoon wondered, “What was your name before that?”. Nancy said, “It was Lee Seung-ri. Mom said she had a bad feeling about the name. I actually liked it”. When Tak Jae-hoon asked Nancy, “When did you change it?”, Shin Ho-jin commented, “Was it the same at that time?”, drawing laughter as he indirectly reminded everyone of BIG BANG’s Seungri.

Hearing the comment, Tak Jae-hoon immediately said, “I won’t ask that question anymore”, making the whole studio laugh again.
