Police Investigate Hospital Of EXID Hani’s Psychiatrist Soon-to-be Husband After Patient Died
The police are looking into the death of a female patient at the hospital of EXID Hani’s fiancé Yang Jae-woong
On July 26th, SBS News reported that a 33-year-old woman was found dead at a famous psychiatric hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.
SBS News also released the CCTV footage showing the patient’s situation before her death. Accordingly, at around 1 a.m. on May 27th, the female patient knocked on the door desperately asking everyone to let her out due to some issues on her abdomen because she kept rubbing it. However, a nurse and a doctor came in to give her some medication and restrained her onto the bed before leaving.
Later the woman lost consciousness. The medical staff and nurses came to check and performed emergency response for five minutes and only performed CPR after that. Despite their belated effort, the patient couldn’t regain consciousness and eventually intestinal pseudo-obstruction.
In the interview with SBS News, the patient’s mother said they decided to choose this hospital to treat her daughter’s addiction to diet pills because it’s a famous hospital that promotes a program dedicated to addiction. SBS hid the identity of the hospital and the medical staff involved and only hinted that the owner of this hospital was very famous.
Immediately after the news was aired, netizens discovered that the issue happened at W Jin Hospital of psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong, who was recently engaged to EXID’s Hani.
Although the hospital claimed that the doctors and nurses did all possible emergency responses but couldn’t save the patient, the patient’s family filed a complaint to the police. As a result, an investigation into the hospital staff and directors on charges of violating Medical Law has been initiated.
Yang Jae-woong has not released any statement regarding the mention of him in this accident.
