300 Million Subscriber YouTuber MrBeast Follows BTS’s V on Instagram, Why?
BTS's V Gains Attention as MrBeast, the World's Most-Subscribed YouTuber, Follows Him on Instagram
MrBeast, as of July 2024, has around 340 million subscribers, making him the number one YouTube channel globally in terms of subscriber count. Recently, a post in the community titled “MrBeast with 300 million subscribers follows a Korean celebrity” caught the attention of users.
MrBeast follows 521 people, most of whom are YouTubers, creators, and athletes.
Among his followers, there are a few stars like Kim Kardashian, Travis Scott, Selena Gomez, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Zac Efron, and also Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta.
Among the six Korean celebrities MrBeast follows, three are male: BTS’s V, actor Lee Jung-jae, and YouTube creator KwakTube.
MrBeast, known for creating real-life content of Netflix’s original series “Squid Game” in 2021, garnered approximately 600 million views and has many fans in Korea.
Lee Jung-jae won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2022 for “Squid Game.” KwakTube, representing Korean YouTubers, participated in MrBeast’s survival program and met MrBeast in Boston. There is no special connection between V and MrBeast.
V holds the record for the most Instagram followers among Korean male celebrities, with 65.88 million followers, and is a star with significant global influence.
The top country among V’s Instagram followers is the United States. Approximately 16% of his followers are American, totaling around 10.5 million, making him the Korean celebrity with the highest number of followers in the U.S. and ensuring high public recognition.
V has ranked fourth in the list of “Most Influential Influencers in the U.S.” after Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Selena Gomez, achieving the highest ranking among Asian stars.
