According to Tzuyang, before she started her internet broadcasting career, she took a leave of absence from school and met her ex-boyfriend A, who became violent. When she tried to break up, he threatened her with revenge porn. Tzuyang was forced to work at A’s place of employment, pouring drinks, and A took all the money she earned from this job.

Furthermore, Tzuyang stated that she started her mukbang channel under A’s coercion to make money. As her popularity grew, A established an agency, placed himself as the head, and forced her into an unfair contract with a 70:30 profit split, taking all the YouTube ad revenue.

With the help of her employees, Tzuyang filed a lawsuit. Her legal representative disclosed that A died by suicide amid the criminal investigation and that Tzuyang was deprived of at least 4 billion won in unreceived payments. Although she received some of the payments through legal proceedings, she expressed that she has no intention of discussing the matter further in detail.

The YouTubers known as the “Wrecker Union” denied the allegations. Caracula stated,I swear on my two sons that I never received any illicit money from anyone.” Goo Je-yeok claimed, “I did not receive any shameful money or engage in any shameful behavior.”
